I should stay away from free book trades
SO EXCITED!
Summer Flowers was mostly taken for the pretty illustrations, I'm a sucker for pretty illustrations.
I read a bit of Bridget Jones on the bus and Helen Fielding is my new favourite author. I just need to find the time for all of them now, Portrait of a Lady will take the piss.
Just in case you can't see
1. The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco
2. The Conjurors Bird by Martin Davies
3. Portrait of a Lady by Henry James
4. Summer Flowers edited by Antony du Gard Pasley
5. Bridget Jones's Diart by Helen Fielding
6. Bettany's Book by Thomas Keneally

Dissapointment
I'm really not too happy. Clare Maguire, who is proclaimed as the upcoming artist of 2011, has made a shite album. I think I first listened to her the middle/end of 2010 and thought wow she has a pair of fucking amazing lungs on her, I just listened to some of Light After Dark and was severley let down. Don't get me wrong, she does have a brilliant voice, and some of her songs like Ain't Nobody are a decent standard for todays pop music, but the rest sound too Diana Vickers/early Xtina, two of the banes of my life. It's a true shame, she could've done so well.
X out of XXXXX, poor.
Charity Finds
The jumper was £3.50, mad bargain, from the BHF (fuck yeah abbreviation!) and I saw little holes at the top and thought hey, a ribbon could be threaded through there and thats how the magic happened. It just means that I'm one ribbon short of a matilda costume for World Book Day which is a shame, be arsed rethreading the ribbon after. XXX

Book Day
Everyones favorite day book day is coming soon, and I'm in desperate need of costume ideas. I was thinking of a hipster Miss Honey, or Sitting Bull from Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee, as an excuse to wear my poncho. Oh how I long for Napoleon Dynamie to be a book.
The more I think about it, I respect Honeys style credentials, she hammers that mad men, vintage style with ease.
